Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, non medicine brain exercise that leads to self-regulation

training and enhances the function of the central nervous system and thereby improve mental performance, emotional control and physiological stability.

With neurofeedback we target bioelectrical functioning of the brain which is actually a more important issue than the chemical imbalance that is often talked about. We are concerned with the brain's internal regulatory networks. Neurofeedback is somewhat like putting the brain on a "stair stepper" to exercise certain regularity functions continuously.

Neurofeedback is designed to balance the brain. There are four main brain waves:  Alpha, Beta, Delta and Theta. The goal is for all four brain waves to work in harmony and homeostasis together. When any one of these brain waves are out of balance certain conditions (problems) can occur. Neurofeedback improves brain function and when brain function improves we improve our client's functioning in cognitive, emotional and behavioral ways.
